[Politik] Der Donald went downhill, fast (Sonstiges)

President Trump had just returned to the White House on Saturday from his final inauguration event, a tranquil interfaith prayer service, when the flashes of anger began to build. Trump turned on the television to see a jarring juxtaposition — massive demonstrations around the globe protesting his dayold presidency and footage of the sparser crowd at his inauguration, with large patches of white empty space on the Mall.
As his press secretary, Sean Spicer, was still unpacking boxes in his spacious new West Wing office, Trump grew increasingly and visibly enraged.
[...] Trump himself, whose ascent to the White House seems to have only heightened his acute sensitivity to criticism.

Die New York Time sieht sich am vierten Tag gezwungen zu schreiben: Der Präsident wiederholt eine Lüge.

President Trump used his first official meeting with congressional leaders on Monday to falsely claim that millions of unauthorized immigrants had robbed him of a popular vote majority, a return to his obsession with the election’s results even as he seeks support for his legislative agenda.
The claim, which he has made before on Twitter, has been judged untrue by numerous fact-checkers. The new president’s willingness to bring it up at a White House reception in the State Dining Room is an indication that he continues to dwell on the implications of his popular vote loss even after assuming power.

Das Problem an der Aussage ist nicht nur sein mutmaßlich fragiles Ego oder so zu besänftigen sondern das man es mutmaßlich dazu benutzt, massive Wahlrechtsbeschränkungen einzuführen.
